Marriage by Kit

I am sure every one of us do experience ups and downs of life and that includes marriage. As we all know, the reality is that marriage is disintegrating at an alarming rate today. One of every two wedding ends in divorce.

I remember my best friend's parents suffered the same fate before. Their marriage went bad where it came to a point where my best friend and his brother and sister were left by their father in the care of their jobless mother. As a result, his mother had a hard time to let his education continue and also had a hard time to send his two brothers and sister to school. It was difficult for his mother to take good care of them and run a family of three children without any regular job and with out any support from the father and any support from any of their relatives.

I suppose no one would blame my best friend's mother from grabbing any opportunity to earn, work so hard night and day to let their education continue and they really needed money to pay all their expenses and also for their daily needs. Till they ended up selling every thing, from appliances they have had in the house to their precious jewelries. I will never forget the time when my best friend cried too much because it came to a point that he would be selling watches which was given to him by his late grandparents and with a sentimental value to him.

Diamond buyers became their only hope and the one that continued their source of living. Jewelry consignment runs their life at that moment. And all of those earnings they got from all that selling in the amount they used to start a little store to have at least income to support everything.

That experience molded him to become what he is now today. He studied hard and finished his degree in engineering as cum laude. He started a good job in a prestigious and big construction firm in the country. He helped his brother and sister finished their education too. They now run a jewelry business and are into precious stones like diamonds.

Presently, the collectors of different expensive watches having backed those watches he lost during the down moments of his family's life.
