My kids have asthma, so I see to it that they breathe a clean air. This is the reason why I use an air conditioner filter. Noticeably, when I started using it my kids does not get an asthma attack, when before they often experience it.
Maintenance is good, but cleanliness is the best thing when it comes to dealing with asthmatic kids.
