I don't know who made it first but I think the one that had significant impact on the people is the one made by Apple; their iPad or iPod.

The design they have was copied by many and it has been conveniently used by professionals.

Other products concentrated on a specific feature of Apple's iPad, like the kobo wireless ereader. As the name states, you know what specific feature I am talking about.

eReaders have made the life of book readers of fanatic readers easier. Imagine going into a family trip for a month and you want to read 4 books. How much bag would you carry for just that 4 books? Now, with eReaders, you could bring hundreds of books if you want, in just that single machine.
